Public Radio News Directors Incorporated (PRINDI) recently awarded WNPR second place in the category of call-in programs for an episode titled Walking Into the Flames: Discussion With Connecticut Firefighters. The episode aired on Where We Live in June of 2014. On the show, host John Dankosky interviewed a panel of firefighters about what draws them to the profession.
Congratulations to the Where We Live and WNPR teams for this win—made all the more meaningful by the fact that the PRNDI awards are determined by a panel of Public Radio News Directors from across the nation. The accolades were delivered at the PRNDI annual conference this past June.
