Tickets to CPTV Sports Inaugural Boys & Girls High School Basketball Tip-Off Classic Go On Sale Saturday, Dec. 12

CPTV Sports brings together top teams from around the state to compete in first ever tournament

HARTFORD, Conn. (December 11, 2015) – CPTV Sports announced today that tickets for its inaugural boys and girls high school basketball Tip-Off Classic go on sale Saturday, December 12.

Tickets are $10 for students and adults and $7 for seniors 65 years of age and older.  Each ticket is good for single day entry into the event. Tickets are limited and may be purchased online at www.cptvsports.org/tipoffclassic.

CPTV Sports Tip-Off Classic will be held December 28 and 29 at Maloney High School in Meriden.

CPTV Sports Tip-Off Classic will feature rare non-conference match-ups between Connecticut’s finest boys and girls high school teams from all corners of the state.

Teams scheduled to participate in this year’s Tip-Off Classic are: Avon High School (Girls), Crosby-Waterbury High School (Boys), Hamden High School (Boys), Hillhouse-New Haven High School (Boys), Maloney High School (Boys), New London High School (Boys), Ridgefield High School (Girls), and Weaver-Hartford High School (Boys).

“Our inaugural Tip-Off Classic brings together great talent, coaching and school traditions under one roof,” said Frankie Graziano, Producer of CPTV Sports.  “Maloney High School was selected as a neutral middle ground for competition to gather and play in a true statewide showcase. We will feature more than just the student-athletes on the court: our goal is to involve every facet of each program’s community.”

The Tip-Off Classic will provide a college game feel to showcase eight of the top programs in the state and further extend the CPTV brand into the community.

CPTV Sports provides 400 hours of programming annually centered on high school athletics in the state of Connecticut.

Tip-Off Classic Schedule

Monday, December 28
6:00 p.m. – Boys Basketball: Hamden vs. Maloney-Meriden

8:00 p.m. – Girls Basketball: Avon vs. Ridgefield

Tuesday, December 29
6:00 p.m. – Boys Basketball: Crosby-Waterbury vs. New London

8:00 p.m. – Boys Basketball: Hillhouse-New Haven vs. Weaver-Hartford
