Julia Collin Davison, America's Test Kitchen

Julia Collin Davison, America's Test Kitchen

Host of America’s Test Kitchen, the most watched public television cooking show, and on-screen test cook for Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen, Julia Collin Davison brings rich knowledge about home cooking along with new energy and excitement that has attracted PBS viewers for over two decades. She is an original cast member of both shows, which are two of the highest-rated instructional cooking shows on television. Julia began working as a test cook for Cook’s Illustrated in 1999 and led recipe development for America’s Test Kitchen cookbooks for more than a decade. She graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1996, received an Augie Award from the Culinary Institute of America and was inducted into the prestigious Disciples d'Escoffier Culinary Society in 2018.

Bryan Roof, Cook's Country

Bryan Roof is the executive food editor for Cook’s Country magazine and an on-screen test cook for Cook’s Country. He began working as a test cook for Cook’s Illustrated in 2006, was an on-screen test cook on America’s Test Kitchen for five seasons, and has worked on various magazine, book, and website projects.

To find recipe inspiration for Cook’s Country magazine and to get a firsthand look at how America eats, Bryan travels throughout the country, attending food festivals, visiting mom-and-pop restaurants and cooking with people in their homes. He holds an AAS degree from Johnson & Wales University and a BS in food and nutrition from Framingham State University and is a registered dietitian. Bryan cooked in restaurants along the East Coast before landing in Boston in 2001.

Sara Moulton, Sara's Weeknight Meals

An American chef, cookbook author and television personality, and Host of Sara’s Weeknight Meals on PBS, Sara Moulton was a protégée of Julia Child, the co-founder of the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, executive chef of Gourmet Magazine, Food editor of ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” and the host of several well-loved shows on the Food Network.

Sara Moulton’s career stretches back over 40 years. A teacher at heart, Sara's mission has remained the same for decades—to help the home cook land dinner on the table. She is the author of several cookbooks including her most recent, Sara Moulton’s Home Cooking 101: How to Make Everything Taste Better, a cookbook and teaching manual aimed at making readers more confident in the kitchen.

Nick Stellino, Storyteller in the Kitchen

Nick Stellino, Storyteller in the Kitchen

Nick Stellino’s path to his successful career as a television chef and cookbook author began in Italy, where he grew up in a family of accomplished cooks who shared with him their knowledge and love of cooking. Today he has multiple television series to his credit, along with 12 published cookbooks. He is currently celebrating 25 years on public television with Storyteller in the Kitchen 2 on PBS.

Today, 25 years after his arrival on the national television scene with his first cooking show, Nick continues to approach his work as an old-fashioned artisan — one who is in love with his craft and who is passionate about helping people rediscover the simple joys of good food.

Louise Joseph, Dough Girls

Louise Joseph, Dough Girls

Louise Joseph is a native of West Haven and of Cape Verdean descent. Growing up on New Haven style pizza, Louise was always passionate about pizza.  While being quite bored at a corporate job, the idea came to her to start a food truck with locally sourced ingredients and what better choice than pizza? Dough Girls began operations in 2015 at the Greenwich Polo Club and the rest is history.

Louise comes back home annually to participate in Taste of New Haven's, APizza Feast, a local food festival and competition. In 2019, she won 2nd place in the creative pizza category with her Bacon Bianca pizza. Louise is also a recipient of the 2019 Woman Rising Award from the Women's Business Development Council.
