More than 250 Wallingford absentee ballots might not have the right House of Representatives candidate listed, the Record-Journal reported.
The town clerk, Barbara Thompson, told the Record-Journal that the local registrars of voters tagged the Nov. 3 general election as a municipal election, potentially affecting state House seats on 261 of about 7,000 ballots sent out last week.
The clerk’s office and the Secretary of the State’s office are trying to remedy the problem by sending out new ballots to people who may have been affected, she told the Record-Journal.
