It’s rosé season! $10 wines are likely getting you through the dog days of summer. Connecticut sommelier and self-described “Cork Dork” G. Patel shares the rosés you’ll want to drink right now. While your favorite neighborhood restaurant was trying to figure out how to survive on take-out orders and curbside delivery, it’s likely business at your local package store was booming. Patel, who also owns several Bottle Stops throughout the state, gives us an insider’s perspective on the pandemic-related booze boom. And, Marysol Castro and Chef Plum talk to the owner of a Connecticut distillery about pivoting the business in order to become essential. Finally, John deBary, irreverent author of Drink What You Want, shares a few classic cocktail recipes and describes his work as co-founder of The Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation.
