Take a step-by-step approach to basic watercolor techniques, including:
- Color Mixing – swatches with primaries
- Brushstrokes – quality of line doing bamboo leaves
- Washes – flat and graded, transparent layering
- Patterns – stripes and geometric shapes
- Wet in Wet
- Whites – reserve whites, white paint
- Underpainting
- Flowers – varieties
It鈥檚 important to learn the rules before breaking them. Watercolor is somewhat unpredictable so it needs to be adapted to. Half the time it paints itself! Many people say watercolor is hard. But it all depends on your attitude. It鈥檚 a challenge that can be met.
