Read Across America Day

On Thursday March 7, 2024, in partnership with Hartford Public Library, Hartford Public Schools, East Hartford Public Schools, and the Consolidated School District of New Britain, we invite you to join us for Read Across America Day. This year’s theme is celebrating a world of diverse readers and helping local children develop a love of reading. This year’s book is Opal Lee and What It Means to Be Free by Alice Faye Duncan. At the event, volunteers will read the book and do an activity with a classroom of students.
