You’ve heard of CPR but have you heard about QPR?
This program is named TEACH, which stands for Training to Establish an Alliance Centered on Hope. We aim to offer hope to those at-risk of suicide by forming an alliance of community members who are trained in QPR. This training teaches individuals how to identify the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer (QPR) someone to get help. Similar to how CPR is an emergency medical intervention, QPR is an emergency mental health intervention designed to intervene in the event of a crisis and direct that person to the proper care.
Registration is required as you will be asked to sign a waiver.
Be safe and kind to yourselves.
