October 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm UTC-4
October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a nationwide month of remembrance, awareness raising, and community building. Prudence Crandall Center’s Silent No More Candlelight Vigil is a time for our community to rally, reflect, and, most importantly, remember those who lost their lives in the past year to domestic violence in our state.
Join us in solidarity as we renew our shared commitment to preventing and ending domestic violence in our communities.
Our Vigil is free of charge, open to the public, and held outdoors at the agency’s Rose Hill campus at 594 Burritt Street, New Britain. All guests must check-in at the registration table upon arrival. The program includes music, light refreshments, and testimonials as well as a time for sharing by family and friends impacted by domestic violence.
The event will be held outdoors, weather permitting. If rain is predicted, the Vigil will be cancelled and updated on our Facebook event page. Please RSVP at our FB event page.
