Poetry Reading and Book Launch, An Afternoon of Poetry with Sondra Melzer and Friends

Join 88 year old lifelong Stamford resident teacher and author Dr. Sondra Melzer and two poetry friends, Lynne Viti, Poet Laureate of Westwood, Massachussetts and David Cappella, of Central Connecticut State University, for a reading and book launch for Melzer’s debut poetry book,_ It Was Not Right to Love Him So Much, (Finishing Line Press 2023)._Melzer, a well known community arts activist at Future 5 and UConn Center for Judaic Studies, enjoyed a 40-year career teaching English and drama in the Stamford Public Schools, and went on to teach at U. Conn Stamford, University of Bridgeport, and Sacred Heart University–where she is now a faculty emerita. Q & A and book signing will follow the reading, @ 3:40 PM
