Acrylic and Oil Painting. All levels welcome!
This Plein Air (outdoor painting) class will build on classical academic training and the tradition of American Impressionism born in New England. The class will address theories of value, composition, color and light, perspective, and more. Short demonstrations and student’s practice will include pencil sketches, composition, color studies, and full-developed landscape paintings. Students will be encouraged and supported to develop their personal original landscape painting, while enjoying the process.
Each class will take place at a different location, not far from Arts Center East. Students will meet at the designated location for each class. The first location will be Strong Family Farm, just around the corner from ACE. PLEASE NOTE: In the case of inclement weather, class will take place inside at Arts Center East.
