Italian Festival

The fourth annual Italian festival in New Britain is on Sunday, September 10, at the Generale Ameglio Civic Association at 13 Beaver Street. The festival celebrates Italian culture featuring traditional food, music, dancing, and activities, including a spaghetti eating contest, a bocce tournament, a watermelon eating contest, and a homemade wine contest.聽
Other highlights of the day include the procession of the Madonna (virgin mother of Jesus) and the presentation of the Father Giusani Scholarship to high school students.
The YWCA New Britain and the Boys & Girls Club of New Britain are the beneficiaries of the 2023 festival.
