February 29 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm EST
Join us for the second event in our “In Community” speaker series, sponsored by the Community Foundation’s Equity Lab and Connecticut Public.
This February 29 event will feature Uché Blackstock, MD, Founder and CEO of Advancing Health Equity and author of LEGACY: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine (Viking, 2024).
In a conversation with Connecticut Public’s Lucy Nalpathanchil, Dr. Blackstock will share insights from her memoir, exploring why profound racial health inequities still exist in this country today and how understanding the history of medical racism is critical to finding sustainable, systems-level solutions.

General admission is $20; patron-level tickets are $50. You may also choose the “pay what you can” option for this important conversation.
