“Glow” Show Brings Fashion, Music, Art to Factory Warehouse Space

On Saturday, July 22, New London artist Justin Credabel presents “Justin Credabel’s Hot Summer Live Style Guide,” a one-night-only fashion and music show, dance party, and vendor space.
The event takes place inside a massive immersive blacklight “glow” installation Credabel and a team of volunteers are building at Warehouse 3, an event space in an historic factory in downtown New London.
The live demonstration of summer style, or “Live Style Guide,” highlights the original work of six local fashion designers, including Credabel, Anna Starr Lucas, C*kin, Susan Hickman, Mike Knives, and Silva Works.
Amateur models who include local musicians, artists, and teachers, will walk the runway accompanied by music by Credabel, who recently released dance album “Electric Island,” and by DJ Marzed K.
A special live performance by local songstress Ada Mae Florek is also planned, with surprise performances by other local musicians.
“It’s a privilege to work with so many talented individuals—in art, music, and fashion,” said organizer Credabel. “The New London area has quite the pool of dynamic artists of all kinds. That helps make this the unique town that it is.”
Credabel is a New London-based artist, musician, and designer, and is the former owner of New London’s Credabel Coral Gallery. He was a founding member of iconic New London band Incognito Sofa Love and has created blacklight and glow multimedia installations for private clients, festivals, and other events.
Work by all six designers, as well as local artisans and artists, will be available for purchase. New London artist Katie Fogg will be offering “live art” at the show.
A dance party follows the show. “Bring your fluorescent clothes and dance shoes!” said Credabel.
Tickets are available at the door and at Eventbrite here. General admission is $10. A $25 VIP ticket includes a pair of Photo Portal glasses, a Thank You gift, table seating, and premium parking.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Music starts at 8 p.m. Catwalk at 9 p.m.
