Glitter Militia, a queer punk dance party

Richard K spins punk-rock from LGBTQ identifying artists monthly at Cafe Nine in New Haven. The 4-hour set is entirely played from vinyl records. Cafe Nine has long been a venue that welcomes everyone through its doors. Richard collaborated with manager Paddy Meyer to create a gay night that was punk but dancey and unlike anything else in the area. It’s a monthly party on Thursday nights from 9pm till closing. The next date is February 22nd. February’s party will feature drag performances by Cloaca and Tiki Malone between music sets.
