Former NY Times illustrator, David Suter has a long history of making complicated events easier for us to understand – from sketching the Watergate trials to illustrating the infamous O-Ring malfunction of the Space Shuttle Challenger. The impact of the artist鈥檚 recognizable illustrations from the 70s and 80s beyond their brilliant use of space and optical illusion to present multiple narratives is that they often speak to political, socio economic and universal themes that are as relevant today as they were then. His sculpture and painting take these unique “Suterisms” and adapt them successfully into three dimensions.
The Hen鈥檚 Nest Gallery presents a very special collection of all of this artwork, including over 100 original drawings from September 18th through October 27th. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 4:00-6:00
