Little things (like one vote) can have a BIG impact on an election. Connecticut’s Old State House brings you a season full of little things – like cartoons, conversations and cake – to help you make a BIG impact locally this election season. The center piece of the “Go Big. Vote Local.” series is a Voter Registration Celebration on September 19. Hartford residents are
invited to Connecticut’s Old State House for festivities, to register to vote, or check their voting status. They can also learn how Hartford government works, why local elections matter, and what will be is on the ballot this November. The series also includes an exhibit about the history of political cartoons the second annual Election Cake Bake-off! Don’t miss talks with special guests Hartford Courant editorial cartoonist Bob Engelhart and CCSU History Professor Matt
Warshauer. Exhibit Admission is $8 for adults. Visit ctoldstatehouse.org for discounts for seniors, active military and veterans, college students, and children. Other events and activities are FREE and open to the public. This series is made possible with support from CT Humanities and Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
