Botanical Prints Workshop

Learn the art of botanical printing! Students will create a scarf or runner using an immersion technique, while learning about the fabrics and leaves suitable to make an impression. An introduction to natural dyes will be included.

Botanical Printing is a natural dye process in which images are extracted from plants and transferred to fabric through a steaming or immersion process. During this process, the chemicals held tightly within the cells of the plant are released to form an imprint on the fabric.
