Annual Pre-Easter Bake Sale

The Women’s Guild organization from the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection has held their Pre-Easter Bake Sale the Saturday before Palm Sunday for over 75 years.  Women of our church bake and donate their items such Choreg,  an Armenian Sweet roll) which goes great with morning coffee or with peanut butter and jelly, or plain by itself.  More intricate desserts include Cream Khadayif, Paklava, Boorma, Ghoorabia Butter Cookies, Simit Sesame Cookies, String Cheese and other ethnic items.  The next generation is now passing the torch to the younger generation, by teaching them to make the recipes; it is  with great hope the tradition of these bake sales will carry on for years to come.

Also available will be American pastries for your Easter table as well.  We have wonderful cakes, breads, cookies, like macaroons, hermits and more.  We are  sure you will find something to your liking.  We suggest you get there early to get you favorites before they disappear!
