Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival Hartford 2023

Presenting one of the preeminent competitions for young organists in North America, the Albert Schweitzer Organ Festival Hartford is pleased to announce its 26^th annual Festival, September 22–23, 2023. This year’s offerings center around the Biennial High School Competition, during which three young organists compete for over $14,000 of prizes. The festival concludes with a concert of music for organ, brass, and choirs, featuring conductor Gabriel Löfvall and organist Christopher Houlihan (ASOFH Artistic Director). The festival kicks off on Friday evening with a recital by Bruce Xu, who wowed the jury and audience during last year’s Festival, earning both first-prize and audience-prize in the 2022 Young Professional Competition.

All events take place at Trinity College Chapel, Hartford, and are free and open to the public.
