March 19, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
After eight workshop-style sessions over the past six months, the Ms President US candidates are ready to take the stage at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, March 19th at 2pm and ask for your vote to become the next Ms President US of their town. Patti Russo, Executive Director of The Yale Campaign School, will be officiating the event, which is free and open to the public.
Students from fourth to eighth grade have a wide range of campaign platforms including creating bully-free zones in schools, expanding language class options in the schools, implementing a composting program in schools, expanding mental health options, increasing CPR knowledge among students, multi-cultural inclusivity, increasing small business support, educating youth on online safety protocols, reducing housing insecurity, and many more. Girls running a campaign will find a way to best present their research, speak on their topic, and display why they should be the next Ms President US of their town.
Candidates representing Connecticut towns including Ridgefield, Wilton, Danbury, Norwalk, Fairfield, Hamden, and Woodbridge. Gilbert (AZ) will also have a candidate. Elections will be held at 2pm on March 19th and those that would like to attend (it is free and all are welcome) should RSVP here or visit www.mspresidentus.org. All those who RSVP can take part in the voting, and there will be a virtual viewing and voting option as well.
All are welcome to join us and celebrate the tremendous amount of work the young participants of Ms President US have done through the 2022-2023 season.
