Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) Nominated for 11 Regional Emmy Awards for the 2014 Television Season

The 38th Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony Will Take Place on Saturday, May 30

HARTFORD, Conn. (May 22, 2015) – The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Boston/New England Chapter announced its Regional Emmy Award nominations for the 2014 television season on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, and Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) is proud to announce that it received 11 nominations, including one nomination for a production by the Connecticut Public Media Lab.

“We are all very pleased to be recognized by the Academy, and I am so proud of the many talented people who work here, as well as the people outside our walls who share their talent and expertise with us,” said Jerry Franklin, president and CEO of CPBN, parent company of CPTV. “These nominations are a testimonial to our commitment to provide our audiences with a variety of outstanding programs that showcase our state, region and the world in which we live.”

The 38th Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 30 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. Since 1989, CPTV Original productions and presentations have earned 101 Regional Emmy Awards and 421 Regional Emmy Award nominations.

It is a locally and nationally recognized producer and presenter of quality public television programming, including original documentaries, public affairs shows and educational programming.
