In May, Connecticut Public held Informed Voices: A Celebration of Women in Media at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. Featuring keynote speaker Judy Woodruff, who serves as Managing Editor and Anchor for PBS NewsHour, Connecticut Public honored female leaders who have made outstanding contributions in media, journalism, or communications.
Also honored at the event was Ms. Foundation for Women President and CEO Teresa Younger, who received the Informed Voices Leadership Award. She was joined by Selena Norton, the winner of the 2018 Carla Squatrito Scholarship, awarded annually to a young woman planning on studying business, business administration, culinary arts, entrepreneurship, or a related area at a four-year college or university.
