Coronavirus: What Connecticut Needs To Know

Connecticut Public will be continually updating this page with the most recent information about the COVID-19 virus, its spread, vaccination, and what you can do to keep yourself and those around you healthy.

State & Federal Restrictions and Recommendations

As of May 19, 2021 many of Connecticut's mask protocols, business sector rules, and travel requirements have been lifted. Masks are no longer required outdoors, nor indoors for vaccinated individuals, although unvaccinated individuals must still wear masks indoors. Masks are required for everyone in certain environments, such as healthcare facilities, schools, and state and local government offices, among others. Find details on the latest guidelines here.

The Biden-Harris administration has released a seven-point plan to beat COVID-19, focused on free testing available to all Americans, effective and equitable distribution of vaccines, evidence-based guidance for states and communities on navigating the pandemic, and ensuring the safety of older Americans and other high-risk individuals. Read the Biden-Harris plan to beat COVID-19 here.
