Series to focus on fostering social-emotional growth and age-appropriate STEM concepts
HARTFORD, Conn. (November 5, 2015) – Bob the Builder is back and better than ever with a new look, new cast of characters, and educational themed episodes this November on CPTV Kids. The popular children’s show returns weekday mornings at 7 a.m. starting November 9th on CPTV.
Bob the Builder, the beloved handyman, and his trusted team have a brand new look. Packed with humor and fun, the series includes new characters and locations and charming stories that foster social-emotional growth and introduce age-appropriate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) concepts. By telling stories through positivity, teamwork and learning, young viewers will be able to enjoy even more fun and discovery with Bob and the gang, building out their world within an engaging and immersive construction experience whilst continuing the show’s long-tradition of exciting preschoolers in a unique, fun and dynamic way.
Bob’s crew includes Wendy, his smart and witty business partner, and Leo, his young apprentice who is eager to learn. Wendy’s specialty is electronics, but she handles all kinds of jobs and often helps keep the team organized and on schedule. Leo is energetic and sincere, but his overly-enthusiastic nature sometimes causes him to get a little distracted—which inevitably leads to chaos! Full descriptions of the characters can be found at http://cptv.org/bob-the-builder/.
Christopher Keenan, VP Global Content & Executive Producer at HIT Entertainment said “We are excited about the greenlight of a second series of Bob the Builder and particularly thrilled about bringing additional content to the many platforms on which children and families are currently engaging with entertainment.”
Through animated stories, sing-along music videos, and short, live-action segments that comprise Bob the Builder, kids will discover that problem solving is about trying one’s best and if it doesn’t work the first time–try again. Friendship and teamwork are at the center of getting the job done.
