Hearts of Freedom: A Juneteenth Community Celebration

This free-to-attend celebration will once again take place on the lawn at The New Canaan Museum & Historical Society at 13 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT. We’ll start at 3pm and end at 7pm. Be prepared to be wowed by local band, The Misfits, devour super yummy soul food from Miss Thelma’s and other local black-owned soul food trucks, and participate in creating a community art piece with featured mix media artist, Sharon Smalls Walton. It’s fun for kids and adults of all ages!

The event is free to attend but we kindly ask that you register so we have enough supplies.  The registration link is here.

Note: Due to construction, St. Marks Church, which is right next door, has generously allowed Juneteenth attendees to park in their lot. New Canaan’s Service League of Boys (SLOBs) has kindly volunteered to help direct traffic to the church parking lot.
