May 8 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
Connecticut Public and CT Black & Brown Student Union co-host a series about the factors contributing to a child’s success in life.
While educational success is often tied to well-resourced school districts, other factors impact a child’s trajectory like their access to affordable healthcare and healthy food.
Connecticut Public and the CT Black and Brown Student Union (CT BBSU) are partnering to host a series of one-hour conversations that explore what communities and policymakers can do to serve the whole child.
This conversation on May 8 will focus on the importance of safe housing.
The community is invited to attend!
There will be refreshments starting at 6:30 pm in the Garde’s Oasis Room on the second floor. The panel discussion starts at 7 pm with panelists:
Moderator: Lucy Nalpathanchil, Connecticut Public
Opening Remarks by Shineika Fareus, Executive Director of CT Black and Brown Student Union (CT BBSU)
This conversation is supported by The William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund.
This event will be filmed and photographed. By registering for and attending this event, you give Connecticut Public and its partner authorization to use your image with any reproduction, distribution and broadcast of the event and for marketing purposes.
