March 2 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm EST
As Amanda Russhell Wallace’s solo exhibition Residence comes to a close (March 8), the artist will discuss how women figure into her thinking and artistic production. Afterall, Residence is an umbrella for explorations of migration, genealogy, domesticity, and other broad parameters of home-making. Additionally, this timely closing reception/talk corresponds to the start of Women’s History Month.
Aspects of Black women’s history is foundational to many of the photographic works currently displayed in the Cummings Arts Center Gallery.
The gallery talk will begin at 4:00 pm.
