AI 201: AI and The Law – Exploring the What, How, and If’s of New Technology

November 15, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm EST

As Artificial Intelligence becomes more a part of “every day,” many groups and industries are asking the “what if” and “how to” questions of using this technology in our personal and professional lives. The Connecticut Bar Association has formed a Generative AI Committee to explore current and emerging generative AI technologies, and their potential impact on the practice of law. As nonprofits choose to utilize this technology, new questions arise regarding how the technology is used, where it is obtaining its information, and how is it sharing information forward. Where is the legal line drawn between helpful to an organization and harmful to its constituents? Join the Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC) and Attorney Jonathan Shapiro for a look into how nonprofits can protect themselves as they master the latest technology.
