WORKSHOP | Aquatic Insects of Connecticut Fly Tying Workshop
Saturday, June 10, 2023, 9am-4pm
Registration Fee: $15/person
Create lures that mimic the shapes and behaviors of Connecticut’s aquatic insects at this hands-on workshop! Learn about the biology and ecology of insects that serve as an important food source for game fish in local rivers such as the Fenton, Farmington, and Willimantic Rivers.
This event is presented by the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History with the Connecticut Fly Fisherman’s Association and the UConn Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology’s Biodiversity Research Collections. Participants are encouraged to use their new skills and lures with subsequent participation in the CFFA’s educational programs of casting and advanced tying.
