Voting (and hosting a watch party as the returns come in) is as American as apple pie! To celebrate the 2022 Election Season, Chef Plum shares a favorite cocktail that evokes apple pie. Cinnamon-sugar sprinkled pie crust “cookies” would make a great nibble to go along with the drinks.
Chef Plum's Election 2022 Cocktail: Apple Ginger Snap
Ingredients
- 4 oz good apple cider Preferably from your local farm (You could also use equal parts cider and bourbon, if you like, for a stronger drink)
- 3 oz bourbon
- 2 oz ginger simple syrup, (Steep fresh sliced ginger in equal parts water and sugar for 2 min)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 fresh apple sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- Add the first three ingredients to a cocktail shaker (or mason jar) with ice, and shake. Pour into two glasses and squeeze half a lemon over each glass. Serve on the rocks and garnish with apple slices.
