Researchers are launching a new effort to learn more about the increasing numbers of great white sharks appearing in Northeastern waters. Organizers say they’ll focus on shark migration, residency, habitat use, reproduction, and predatory behavior. They’ll also look at factors that drive interactions between humans and great white sharks. Just this week a great white was filmed off the coast of Cape Cod, well after what’s usually regarded as peak shark season.
