Salisbury Forum Panel Discussion on Artificial Intelligence and Education

The Salisbury Forum will host a panel discussion on “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Transforming Education” on Friday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at Salisbury School in Salisbury, CT. The event features representatives from The Hotchkiss School, Salisbury School, and Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Admission is free. Register at www.salisburyforum.org.

Moderated by Jonathan P. Costa, executive director of EdAdvance, and joined by an expert panel featuring three school-based administrators and an artificial intelligence specialist, this talk will provide a brief overview of AI. The discussion will explore the recent history, current trends, and future of AI, and examine its potential impact on our schools. 

The panelists are Ian Strever, principal of Housatonic Valley Regional High School; Sarah Mulrooney, dean of academic life at Salisbury School; Richard Davis, dean of academic life at The Hotchkiss School; and Matt Mervis, director of AI Strategy at EdAdvance.

This Salisbury Forum talk is supported by a grant from Connecticut Humanities, which is an independent, nonprofit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
